East Avenue redevelopment project

Creating more affordable rental housing.

We're developing the East Avenue site to replace its aging infrastructure and to take advantage of the available land to build more affordable housing units to serve the Peel community.

Project status

East Ave is currently in the design phase. Martinway Developments Limited has been selected to provide design and construction services for the project.

Success story: Peel proposal would bring significant rental housing to site near Lakeview Village

The building

East Ave is a 1.9 acre site located in Ward 1 at 958-960 East Avenue, Mississauga and is near:

East Ave is also walking distance to Waterworks Park.

The vision

This Housing Master Plan project will provide sustainable, affordable housing for Peel residents contributing to a complete community that’s age-friendly, connected, and environmentally responsible. Martinway Developments Limited was selected as the design/builder for redeveloping this site.

This redevelopment project involves the demolition of two vacant buildings to pave the way for a 7-storey building. This new development will provide 150 affordable homes ranging from 1, 2, and 3-bedroom units, to cater to the diverse housing needs of the community.

This redevelopment will allow Peel Region to increase the supply of new affordable rental units in south Mississauga.
